My Secondary Channel
Palit RTX 2080 Ti GamingPro - Low Temperature Artifacts (Memory)
This RTX 2080 Ti GamingPro by Palit is suffering from an extremely odd and unique problem, it overclocks and runs fine above 30c, but under 25c as shown in the video, there are red pixels appearing at the Windows Desktop (app focus), attempting to run a game or benchmark results in a reboot of the computer and the device can no longer be found. Later in the video I tab back into Superposition after starting it at a higher temperature, and you can see the first frame is purple, entire scene is messed up. Also the text in the Superposition launcher window appear to be warped at one point, there are also streaks/lines of black pixels across the window. I flashed a LN2 BIOS on the card that forced 3D clocks on the memory at idle speed, so it ran 7000MHz in Windows, this completely solved the issue I was having, I could keep the GPU at 15c with no artifacting, so the conclusion is that when the memory runs idle 400MHz combined with a sub 25c GPU temperature it becomes "unstable" and eventually leads to a complete crash and reboot of the PC.
